The Course Includes the Following Units:-
Unit 1: Understanding drug use and misuse
- Reasons individuals have for using drugs and alcohol (Both positive and negative)
- Different motivations for using various substances
- Analysing underlying causes
- Physical and psychological effects that drugs and alcohol can have on the people who use them
Unit 2: Responding to substance use and misuse
- Different ways to respond to substance use and misuse
- National and international drug policing and prevention strategies
- Different individual charities and support groups that are available
Unit 3: Young people, families and communities
- Impact drugs can have on individuals especially children and families living in a wider community
- Ways that communities can help those suffering from substance use problem
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).

Paper Based Version
The course comes to you as a paper-based pack delivered by courier.
You will be given guidance through the Study Guide on the nuts and bolts of studying and submitting assignments.
Postal assignments cannot be accepted without prior permission from the tutor.
