Working as a nail technician can be organised around your other commitments. When you have completed our Level 3 course, you will have a sound understanding of a wide range of the applications of nails and the skills needed to pursue a successful career in the industry. You will need to practise until your technical skills reach a very high standard, but practice does pay off and you should soon be producing some accomplished work. This course is a great preparation for practical training, and offers valuable insights into the professional world of being a nail technician.

Working within the nail technician industry offers a number of career opportunities. If you have enthusiasm, are willing to practise and have determination, you can carve out a successful and rewarding career for yourself. There are many career routes you may decide to use your new skills in:
Mobile nail technician
Home-based technician
Salon-based nail technician
During this course you will research and explore the world of nails. It is a fascinating industry and the limits are endless to what designs you can produce. Be creative and enjoy yourself.
At the end of this course successful learners will be given the option to receive a Certificate of Achievementfrom the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
The course has been endorsed under the Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Kendal Publishing Ltd has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on. We call these Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs). You need only send the TMAs to your tutor for comment, not the self-assessment exercises which are also part of the course to help you gauge your progress.
You will have access to a tutor, via email, who will mark your work and guide you through the course to help you prepare for your examinations. In addition, you will be supplied with a comprehensive Study Guide which will help you through the study and assessment process.
