General Questions

  • How do I change my Address?
If you change your address you must notify studentservices@ukdlp.com as we will send your certificate out to the address we have on file.
  • How long do I have to wait for my certificate?
In most cases you should receive your certificate within a maximum of 12 weeks from the date you submit your final assignment. In courses assessed by examination the timescale may depend on the exam centre.
  • Will I receive a qualification at the end of my course?
This depends on the kind of course you are doing. Many of our courses result in an Ofqual QCF (Qualifications and Credits Framework) listed qualification from a national awarding body like CACHE, NCFE or IoSCM. Others may result in the award of an ABC Certificate of Achievement which, while not a full national qualification, can be used as evidence of prior study, and formalises your knowledge and learning outcomes. These courses are typically used for vocational training or CPD (Continuing Professional Development). In most cases we will issue Awards, Certificates and Diplomas directly, but in the case of courses assessed by exam, such as A-Levels, these will usually be issued by the exam centre.
  • Can I study if I live outside the UK?
Yes, we can ship your course overseas for you, and tutor support is via email. If a course requires you to sit an exam, then make sure that there is somewhere you can sit the exam in your country, or be prepared to make travel arrangements.
  • Are there any exams?
Most of our courses do not require you to sit examinations, and are assessed through TMAs (Tutor Marked Assignments). There are exceptions to this, such as with A-Level and AAT courses, where the student will have to book an exam place themselves with a private centre. If you're not sure about whether the buyativan course you're interested in has an examination, then please get in touch and we'll be happy to advise you.
  • Will my tutor answer my support requests quickly?
Yes, all tutors aim to give you feedback on your assignments within 10 working days, and respond to general queries within 48 hours. These are maximum estimates, and you do not usually have to wait this length of time..
  • Why can’t I post assignments to my tutor?
We only allow students to post assignments in if the tutor agrees on whether the nature of the assignments requires physical materials to be sent in. Students generally submit assignments and receive their feedback by email. This is a simple, secure and effective method of communication.
  • How do I contact my tutor and submit assignments?
Tutors can be contacted by email only, and all assignments must be submitted as email attachments. To receive your Welcome Letter and tutor contact information simply send an email to studentsupport@ukdlp.com with your NAME, POSTCODE and EMAIL.
  • What happens if I default on my payment plan?
If you cannot meet your monthly payments then please contact us as soon as possible. Failure to pay will affect your future credit rating.
  • How can I pay?
You can pay in full or by instalments via our website. Our finance is offered via UKDLP Ltd interest free. For more information see our finance page.
  • Can I swap courses?
No, not usually, as your tutor and awarding body registration fees will have been paid out after 7 days. In some circumstances it might be possible, but there will usually be a fee associated with this.
  • Can I cancel my course?
Yes, if you notify us that you wish to cancel your course by emailing enquiries@ukdlp-distance-learning.com and return it to us within 14 calendar days from receiving it, we can provide a full refund. We do ask that course materials are returned in good condition; otherwise this may affect your refund amount.  For more information please read our Terms and Conditions carefully.
  • Can I extend my tutor support if I do not complete within 12 months?
Yes, in most cases we can extend your course for a further 6 months for a fee. You have to arrange this directly with your tutor, and we will only allow one extension per course. For some courses extension will not be possible, as when a national qualifications syllabus expires. If you think you will need more than 12 months to complete, contact us before you enrol and we’ll let you know if an extension will be possible.
  • How long do I have to complete the course?
Most courses come with 12 months tutor support from the date of purchase, and we actively encourage you to complete within this time frame. Some courses, such as A-Levels, come with a maximum of 24 months support, but this period may be dependent on exam dates.
  • When can I enrol?
We do not have set term dates, so you can enrol at any time and study in your own time. However, some courses, such as A-Levels, will have fixed exam dates that you must bear in mind when planning your studies. For FAQs specific to A-Levels, click here.
